Model Digitals
What are Model Digitals?
Model digitals, or model polaroids are simple photos taken on a clean background, with no make-up and no retouching. They should show the raw photo version of you to show to an agency/client what you look like in your most natural state. We will usually take a full length body shot, full profile body shot, a 3/4 headshot, and front facing headshot.
Submitting your digitals is often the very first step in becoming signed with a modeling agency. Collaborating with a knowledgeable photographer provides an opportunity to seek guidance on posing techniques, confidence-building, and capturing attention during photoshoots. This knowledge can significantly impact the quality of your modeling digitals submitted to agencies, and ultimately get you signed!
The Process
Contact: Reach out by completing this form. Be sure to include any details such as any agencies you're signed with, if you're just starting out, or any other questions you might have about your digitals session.
Schedule and Pay Retainer: Once we have decided on a date/time you will be asked to pay a $50 retainer in order to secure your session. Please note your session day/time will remain open until your retainer is paid.
Prepare for the Shoot: I will send you some info with suggestions of what to wear for your digitals. Form-fitting, neutral colors look best. Also, bare-faced or extremely minimal makeup is standard for digitals. Agencies want to see your very natural, gorgeous self.
Shoot your Digitals: If it's your first time shooting digitals, do not worry! I will guide you with posing, facial expressions and angles. We will get a great variety of images for you to choose from.
After the Shoot: Usually within 24 hours you'll receive a link to review the proofs. Once you make your selections, you will receive a gallery of hi-res images, ready to send to agencies.
